FHM India March 2012

NEW UPLOAD

100 bucks says when this issue comes out, a reporter will have a neurotic moment, run naked down the hallway screaming "pilferage" and declare this picture to be a copy of another picture that Miss Balan had posed for a couple of years ago. There’s only a small hitch - that other picture (the one this one is supposedly copied from) is one of ours too. So dear journalist, it's not your fault, it could have happened to anyone. After all, Google is a complicated thing.

A lot has changed in the 17 months since that cover though - Miss Balan has gone out and delivered one of the biggest hits of the year - The Dirty Picture, redefined sexuality, and kicked the ass of all and sundry. And we at FHM would like to believe we have had some hand in that no matter how deluded that belief might be. Why didn’t we try and do something massively different with this cover, you ask? Truth be told, we just didn’t want to. But we did go out and reinterpret it.

As far as this issue is concerned - Miss Balan is just the coattail. This issue has a lot else that’d keep you occupied, while the taxmen run amok on your salary slip. We’re not on his side, but if you are going to get taxed silly you might as well enjoy it. On the subject of blokes we don’t look up to, we did make a list of India’s most uninspiring men (page 76).
Guetta is coming to India, Dyk just left - so we’ve got you an interview from one and an insight on the other and also threw in a really hot DJ - Sarah Robertson into the mix (page 46). She might not be on the top of the DJ pile, but she looks better than Dyk and Guetta put together, so they’d want it that way.

We’ve also got you an interview with Jonathan Neale - McLaren’s Technical Director and Michael Schumacher’s boss (page 58) and threw in the GP Calendar and the season’s new rules. There’s seven-time Moto GP world champion Valentino Rossi with tricks on how to get inside an opponent’s head and his view on bike crashes (page 114). We’ve also got you another biker - this one has ridden across five continents with his camera (page 62), while India’s No I squash player Dipika Pallikal gives a crash course in squash and India’s biggest luge player Shiva Keshavan answers something we’ve always wanted to know - why grown men get on top of a tray and fling themselves down sharp inclines wearing tights (page 108).

Between it all, somewhere there is an interview with Nicholas Cage (page 94) we’d commissioned before Ghost Rider 2 went up in a big ball of flame and 22 women talking about what you do wrong in bed (page 84) - a feature guaranteed to shatter your confidence. Upgrade has a personal favourite - a guide to going off the grid and deleting your browser history (page 101) for times when changing your phone number doesn’t cut it.
And then there is teen-pop sensation Taylor Momsen who has been kind enough to take off her top and caress a porn star for a shoot. Enjoy. And spare the tax guy even though the world will be better off without him, but a magazine as responsible as FHM will never incite you to be violent, so what if you'll only have enough money for free peanuts by the time he’s done with your payslip.
